Andrew Shelley graduated from the University of Manchester in 1979 and started the practice in Denton in 1983.

Since then he has undertaken postgraduate study leading to The Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies from the University of Bristol, Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners, Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Master of Science of the University of Leeds. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of both England and Edinburgh.

Andrew was formerly tutor to final year dental students at the University of Manchester and now teaches qualified dentists for the diplomas of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He is also an examiner for their Diploma in Restorative Dentistry.

Andrew takes a special interest in the treatment of denture problems and all aspects of the restoration and replacement of missing teeth including dental implants. He has studied dental implantology in London, Paris, Brazil and the USA. He now teaches dental implantology to postgraduate students and is a mentor to dentists who are new to implant work.
